GUEST BLOGGER: Luanne Pang of LukSewCute

Hi, Everybody! I’m Luanne of LukSewCute and I am excited to be guest blogging  here on SewingPortfolios! As a member of SewingPortfolios.com I was able to play a long and enter a giveaway to win an entire collection of not yet released fabric, and I WON! Today I get to share with you what I made with some of the Michael Miller fabrics collection – How Does Your Garden Grow, that I won the last Fabric Friyaaay Giveaway.

To begin with, I am from Cebu, Philippines and getting my hands on imported fabrics that usually have to be  be sourced from another city and that is always a competition to get, was the best thing ever!  I feel very lucky to have won an entire collection of fabrics from a well-known company such as Michael Miller Fabrics. For the patterns I have chosen Clara from Violette Fields Threads and Samantha from Made for Mermaids because of their beautiful, fun and unique design.

The fabrics are bellflower and pink pebble path and comes in white/black and green/orange/pink/turquoise and can be match perfectly in any color combination, I love that!

The girl is wearing the Violette Fields Threads Clara dress with ruffled bodice and altered hem with ruffles. (This pattern is sooo fast and easy to sew).

For the second outfit, I used the flying colors and all-in-a row fabrics which comes in black/white and garden/jewel. (I am sooo in love with these fabrics)! The girl is wearing the Violette Fields Threads Lavinia blouse and Made for Mermaids Samantha suspender skirt.

The Lavinia blouse features button front, flutter/long sleeves, and easy an easy scarf necktie bow. Another fast and easy sew! (I’m addicted to tying neckties and bows now).

The Samantha suspender skirt features a vintage length, full skirt, flat front/faux button placket, suspender and pocket options.

Thank you Michael Miller Fabrics for these beautiful fabrics to enjoy to Sewing Portfolios for having me here. Sewing Portfolios is a wonderful spot to keep track of your sewing projects and to connect with brands and businesses in our sewing industry!
